The OK-VAKMPU1000 extender includes a host unit and a remote unit which are connected by standard UTP CAT5 cable. The host unit receives one set of PS2 keyboard, mouse, VGA video and audio, providing one set of local VGA & audio and two channels UTP output for transmission. On the remote side, the remote unit receives two channels of UTP signals from host, and provides two sets of VGA and audio outputs and one set of PS2 outputs for keyboard and mouse.The video quality can be adjusted manually with the built-in brightness and contrast adjustors with a resolution of up to 1600x1200 @ 60Hz for 500ft / 150m. The OK-VAKMPU1000 extender is ideal for remote control and display in broadcasting.

How does a balun work?
Baluns are used to convert between "Balanced and Unbalanced" electrical signals.
Baluns work by transforming the original unbalanced (video/power/data/etc) signal to a balanced frequency used by a different cable, like CAT5 UTP. Not only does this reduce interference, but it also allows you to transmit a signal much longer than the original application would allow. Baluns are always utilized in pairs. One balun is needed to convert the original signal to a new frequency, and another balun is used at the other end to revert to the original frequency.

"Passive" Video Baluns do not require power, and can extend a signal up to 2000ft (B/W)
"Active" Video Baluns require power, but can extend a signal up to 8000ft (B/W)
